Virginia Tech will offer a short course in selling forest products Dec. 1-2 on the campus in Blacksburg, Va.

        The course is for new sales and marketing personnel, others who want to improve their sales skills, and sales managers who want to improve the effectiveness of their sales force.

        Topics to be covered during the course will include personal selling, selling strategies, customer behavior styles, locating customers, successful sales presentation, telemarketing, trade shows, territorial management, setting goals and industry trends.

        The course will be taught by professor Robert Bush and associate professor Bob Smith.
