Morbark Demo Days Planned Sept. 20-21
Morbark will hold its second annual Demo Days Sept. 20-21 at its headquarters in Winn, Michigan. The event will be held in conjunction with Morbark’s 50th anniversary celebration.
The Morbark Demo Days will include factory tours, equipment demonstrations and training seminars. The company will host a dinner and entertainment on Sept. 20 and a lunch on Sept. 21.
The event is expected to draw more than 150 key customers and dealers from around the world.

Fecon Hosts Training School for Mechanics
Fecon recently hosted a national service school for field service mechanics and technicians at the company’s factory in Lebanon, Ohio.
The service school included extensive classroom and hands-on training on Fecon’s FTX track carriers. Participants received training materials, a tour of the factory and Fecon apparel.
The company recently named Darden Whitaker as manager of customer services. He has more than 17 years of industry experience and has held positions of president, director of operations, director of quality and program-product manager.
Anthony Nikodym was named regional manager for the Western Canadian markets. He has 17 years of industry experience and has served as business development manager, market manager and product development engineer.

Norwood Introduces 2 Portable Sawmills
Norwood Industries has introduced two new portable sawmills – another band mill model and a mill that uses a chain saw.
The new Norwood LumberLite™ 24 is a mid-sized band mill that can saw logs up to 27 inches in diameter. It can cut lumber 17 inches wide and veneer as thin as 1/16-inch.
The Norwood LumberLite may be ordered with a choice of engines ranging from 8 hp to 13 hp.
The LumberLite 24 has many of the same features and components as Norwood’s larger sawmill, the LumberMate™ 2000, including the same band wheels, carriage wheels, blade guide rollers and industrial grade powder coating.
The new Norwood PortaMill utilizes a chain saw for cutting and works with a ladder. It can saw logs up to 14 inches in diameter as long as the ladder length. The PortaMill can produce smooth, accurate dimension lumber, such as 2x4, 4x4, 2x6 and more. It can be set up in minutes and is easily transported.

Rayco C100 Super Crawler Adds Power
