Morbark has introduced the new model 40-36 whole tree chipper. The compact, productive and affordable drum chipper was designed specifically for the biomass industry.

The Morbark model 40-36 whole tree chipper is equipped with the same internal drive perfected on Morbark horizontal grinders. Along with an extra-wide feed opening, the chipper aggressively processes brushy tops and limbs.

The Morbark model 40-36 is 8 feet, 6 inches wide, compact and easily transportable, and it requires no permits to move. It also offers the lowest fuel consumption per ton of chips produced, according to the company.

The chipper is equipped with a 36-inch-diameter, 40-inch-wide drum that holds eight knives in staggered configuration.

Morbark’s IQAN system monitors engine parameters, hydraulic pressure and temperatures and allows for using remote diagnostics. Engine options are available up to 700 hp Cat or John Deere. Wireless remote control and four hydraulic stabilizers complete the package.
