Woodsman 334 Chipper Features 36-Inch Drum
Woodsman Model 334 Chipper
Date Posted: 8/1/2009
Woodsman’s new model 334 biomass chipper has become a very popular unit because of its ability to process tops, chunk material and unmerchantable timber into high quality biomass with ease.
The Woodsman model 334 comes standard with a radio remote control that allows the operator to direct the feed system and discharge chute from a distance. The directional discharge chute is capable of a 50 degree horizontal shift. This allows the operator to park two trailers side by side and fill them consecutively. The optional 8-foot conveyor allows for smoother, more efficient feeding.
The Woodsman model 334 is equipped with a 36-inch wide drum that contains two knife pockets that are 180 degrees apart and span the full width of the drum. The knife pockets contain single edge, babbitted knives, which make them easier to adjust and help to extend life.
The chipper is available with 365-500 hp Caterpillar, Cummins, or John Deere power units and uses state-of-the-art hydraulic valves and pumps.
The Woodsman model 334 is capable of producing 80 tons per hour. With its compact design, impressive throwing power and full pocket drum, it produces consistent chip quality.
Michigan-based Woodsman is an industry leader in the design and manufacture of drum style, hand-fed and biomass chippers.
Woodsman chippers offer many innovations, such as a rear pivoting feed wheel and full pocket knife design. The company’s chippers are engineered and manufactured so that chipping operations can be more productive and profitable.
Woodsman chippers have fewer moving parts and feature a ‘clean’ design, use of gear boxes and plug-and-play electronics systems.
