Nate Clark, director of public affairs for John Deere’s Construction & Forestry Division and John Deere Power Systems, will be the keynote speaker at the 72nd Oregon Logging Conference. The expo’s theme this year is “Forest Biomass…Fuel of the Future.”

Over the past two years, Clark has worked on a number of public policies critical to the logging industry, and he has partnered closely with the American Loggers Council and its members to make loggers’ voices heard on Capitol Hill.

“As the largest manufacturer of forestry equipment and solutions in the world, John Deere is proud to be taking such an integral role in the 2010 Oregon Logging Conference, “ said Clark. “While we always enjoy showcasing our latest forestry equipment at the expo, this year I look forward to addressing the conference about the challenges and opportunities facing the logging industry.”

“Over the last few years, John Deere has partnered with customers and others in the logging industry to secure policies critical to its recovery and future, from economic stimulus to climate change and energy. At the end of the day, however, it is the logging industry’s innovative capacity and resilience that will help it survive and thrive.”
