Dyna Products Introduces New SC16 Portable Firewood Processor Dyna Products Introduces New SC16 Portable Firewood Processor By Staff Date Posted: 9/1/2010 Dyna Products, a Michigan wood processor manufacturing company, has a new model SC16 portable firewood processor. The SC16 processes logs up to 22” maximum diameter by 16 feet in length. It is designed to process up to three full cords per hour into firewood. Its design is similar to the Dyna Products model SC14, only bigger and better. Nathan Miller, president of Dyna Products, stated, “This machine is loaded. When we presented the concept to our research and development department, we pulled out all the stops. Professional design and professional results are important to us. We particularly focus on operator safety and ease of use, along with the serious production demands that customers expect from Dyna machines.” Standard features of the SC16 include a powered in-feed live deck that drop a log onto a chain driven trough, which then feeds it through the saw head where the operator intermittently stops the log and cycles the chain bar, cutting even huge logs with amazing speed and ease. After a cut is completed, short logs drop neatly into the splitter cradle where the operator effortlessly drives the log into the adjustable splitter edge via a powerful hydraulically powered ram, which utilizes another great new feature, the Rapid Retract. After splitting a log and spilling the finished product onto the powered incline conveyor, the splitter ram retracts rapidly to home position as the firewood piles up and the operator begins another cycle. Miller continued, “All the operations are driven by a powerful hydraulic system on board the machine, which is run by a fuel efficient 44 hp Kubota diesel engine. This diesel engine can take everything you throw at it. When you are processing three cords an hour, you need a machine that can take it.” Philip Graber, a pleased owner of a SC16, said, “One of the nice things about our machine is its ease of operation. The whole machine is operated almost effortlessly by joystick controls. Another feature I like is the specially designed absorption device on the chain bar feed. It increases speed and production by preventing chain stalling and slowing down at hard spots in a log. Setting up the machine is a breeze. You can set it up in minutes and be producing firewood. This is a serious machine, built to produce. It’s actually fun making firewood.” For more information, call 888/820-3962. |
