Tigercat has introduced its highest-production track feller-buncher, the model 870. It is designed for working in challenging terrain and extreme duty cycles.

It is based on the companyís 860 carrier, which has been used in such extreme duty feller-bunch applications as double shifts in cold northern Canadian winters and shovel logging in hot conditions of the Southeastern U.S. The 870 has the same retractable roof enclosure that forms a generous-sized work area for access to the engine, valves and heat exchangers.

The Tigercat 870 track feller-buncher is powered by a Cummins C-series 260 hp engine. It has a drawbar pull of 73,000 pounds for approximately a 1:1 tractive effort ratio. The FH400 8 1/2-inch pitch undercarriage is comparable to a super heavy-duty D7 and includes removable bolt-on style chain guiding guards on the outer track frames for easier access to rollers.

The cab is well insulated, climate controlled, quiet and spacious. The extreme duty suspension seat is equipped with a low effort armrest mounted on Tigercat joysticks. The cab provides good visibility with the instrument panel located within the operatorís working sight line.

Other features include dual-cushioned cylinders, a high-walker carbody, and a four-bar linkage stick boom with the Tigercat 5700 felling saw.

Coyote C16LB Wheel Loader Is a Loader and a Backhoe
The Coyote C16LB wheel loader with a backhoe is designed to provide the performance of two machines, an articulated loader and a backhoe. It has a tool carrier up front and a powerful digging machine at the back.

Equipped with fast hydraulics, the maximum hydraulic pump output of 26 gallons per minute makes it an effective tool carrier for attachments such as cold planers that require high oil flow. It is powered by a Perkins four cylinder engine known for its reliability and durability.

The Coyote C16LB has a computer-matched hydrostatic drive through the planetary drive axles to provide powerful traction. The hydrostatic drive features an inching mode that, with high engine rpm, allows the machine to be driven very slowly as job conditions may require. The drive systemís infinitely variable speed has two selection modes; the working mode has a maximum speed of 7 mph and the travel mode, 16 mph. In addition to the braking effect of the hydrostatic drive, wheel loader also is equipped with oil-enclosed multiple disc brakes.

The Coyote C16LB wheel loader features a large cab with increased glass area for high visibility, conveniently placed controls and low sound level.
