Precision Husky Makes Deflector Standard on ProGrind Machines
Precision Husky has modified all five of its ProGrind™ tub grinders by adding a shield to deflect thrown objects into the tub for improved safety. The thrown object deflector is now standard equipment on the five ProGrind tub grinder machines.

The deflector greatly reduces the potential for throwing objects from the tub by reducing the trajectory, said Billy Daniels, vice president of engineering. The deflector lowers the angle of thrown objects, directing them into the tub wall where they will fall harmlessly into the hammermill for reprocessing, he said.

The five ProGrind tub grinder models range from 100 hp producing about 10 tons per hour to the largest unit, a 750 hp machine capable of producing 100 tons per hour.
