Blount International has signed a letter of intent to purchase the assets of Michigan-based Fabtek Inc., which will become part of Blountís industrial and power equipment group, a manufacturer of mechanical forestry harvesting equipment.

The acquisition will broaden existing product lines, especially with the addition of forwarders, small track feller-bunchers, and cut-to-length harvesting heads, he said.
