Peterson is pleased to announce the grand opening of its Eastern Parts Distribution Center (EDC) in Columbia, SC. The company hired its crew and stockedthe EDC with over $1.5 million in Peterson OEM parts.

From the centrally located EDC, Peterson will be able to ship rush and emergency spare parts to customers throughout Eastern and Central North America in two days or less using lower cost ground freight services.

With a large population of Peterson grinders, chippers, and blower trucks and trailers east of the Mississippi, the EDC will give Peterson owners the assurance of maximum machine uptime and spare parts availability through an extensive dealer network backed up by a large spare parts facility in the region.

The EDC is now fully operational, and is managed by Steve Farmer, Parts Manager for Eastern North America. Steve joined Peterson in January with 12 years logging experience (the old-fashioned way with chain saws and cable skidders) as well as 17 years parts management experience with Pioneer Machinery/Blanchard Machinery, where his knowledge and representation of the Peterson product line was unsurpassed.

Steve can be reached on his cell at 803.229.5052 or by e-mail at steve.farmer@petersoncorp.com. The EDC can be reached directly at 803-794-4891 between 07:30 and 16:30, Monday-Friday.
