Southeast Virginia Logging Expo
A logging expo is being held on June 7, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to provide information about new markets.

Wood using industries are making a comeback in the southeast Virginia and northeast North Carolina area, creating a need for more logging capacity. The Southeast Virginia Logging Capacity Task Force, in conjunction with Paul D. Camp Community College Workforce Development Center, was formed to address this issue.
A logging expo is being held on June 7, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to provide information about the new markets as well as information on all aspects of logging to include financing, business counseling, equipment purchases, laws and regulations, and other related logging concerns. Space is still available for any exhibitors that wish to participate.
Program speaker schedule includes: Scott Barrett – SHARP Logger Coordinator; Randy Betz – Vice President of Workforce Development, Paul D Camp Community College; C. Harrell Turner – Coordinator for Southeast Virginia Logging Capacity Task Force; and a panel of other speakers.
