Following 18 months of intense development work, Nyle is introducing its new dry kiln control system. This new control system allows the kiln operator to dry their lumber using the drying method of their choice, set an automated schedule and monitor and control the chamber remotely through a secure Internet connection from a cell-phone, tablet or computer if they wish.
This new control system called NSC100 comes as a next step package on most of Nyle’s dry kiln systems giving its products the most advanced control on the market, according to Nyle. The NSC100 is also available as a retrofit control box for any other dry kilns.
Jeremy Howard, Nyle’s control expert since 2004 led the development effort. He said, “We set out to use today’s technology to create a control that lets the operator improve visibility in what goes on inside the kiln while saving time with remote access. It provides more user control capabilities and stays within our design goals of being easier to use than traditional kiln controls. And of course, Nyle has been in the dry kiln industry for 36 years so we realize that any new control needs to be rugged and reliable.”
The NSC100 is a web-based control that can be accessed securely from any device connected to the Internet with a browser. It comes with a color touch screen interface, pre-loaded with many drying cycles and options and easily programmable to meet your needs. It allows you to monitor and control what goes on inside the kiln, set alarms and more. It does not need or rely on a separate computer, saving costs and hassle.
