Terex® Environmental Equipment Offers a Winning Product Portfolio at The TCI Expo

                Terex® Environmental Equipment (TEE) recently exhibited three of its well-known and popular hand fed arborist chippers at the TCI Expo in Charlotte, North Carolina. This included the TAC 710, the TAC 720 which is a new addition to the arborist line and the TAC 750.

                In addition, TEE showcased two new products. The TSL 220, the new Skid Steer Loader with forestry mulch attachment and the Phoenix Trommel 900, a towable trommel specifically, for wood processing, composting and recycling.

                Commenting on the EXPO line up, Philippa Fisher, Business Development and Marketing Director said “we have really focused the last 12 months on listening to what our customer want and need. This has led to a rapid expansion in the breadth of our product portfolio. We are pleased to be able to launch not only the TSL 220 skid steer loader with forestry mulch attachment but the TSL 210 a smaller skid steer loader with a grapple now available. The Phoenix 900 Trommel is ideal for the forestry, small landscaper and arborist customers and is also now available. We firmly believe that with this broad product portfolio it will make us one of the dominant players in the wood processing and recycling industry.”

                The TAC 710 is a compact 9" capacity towable disc arborist chipper. The 6" wide by 12" high in feed opening allows material with multiple limbs and branches to be processed. With a 36" disc offered with 2 staggered pockets. The 710 weighs approximately 2,710 lbs.

                This product is designed to produce small, more consistent chips, which effective helps to compact the material. It is easy to tow and makes an excellent unit for crews in the rental industries. The simple design makes the machine extremely easy to operate, combined with the advantages of being small, also makes this model a great unit for landscape, commercial and municipal applications.

                The new TAC 720 is an excellent 13" capacity towable drum style chipper. The 18" wide by 13" high in feed opening allows material with multiple limbs and branches to be processed with less trimming. The drum is 18" wide by 24" diameter and offers two full knife pockets with two knives per pocket. The difference compared to other chippers in the TAC range is that it has a directional forestry discharge chute allowing for maximum throwing velocity.

                The TAC 750 is an excellent mid-size chipper. The 37" diameter by 24" wide chipping drum allows the TAC 750 to fill a nice created specifically by tree care professionals and municipal agencies which need to chip larger material. Numerous features such as a reverse auto feed, feed wheel lift cylinders, height adjustable discharge chute and many others make the TAC 750 a very versatile chipper for your fleet.

                The new Phoenix Trommel 900 is an excellent addition to the forestry, landscaping and arborist product line. It is a 3.5 cubic ton capacity, towable, variable speed, 9’ hopper with cleaning brushes. Mesh screening sizes range from 4 mm to 100 mm

                The Phoenix 900 trommel screen is the ultimate compact trommel screen solution. Affordable, highly product, the Phoenix 900 is compact in size and hard working in output. It is easily transportable, this versatile screening system is the answer to those difficult screening applications where space is at a premium and quality screening is critical

                It can be used in a wide range of applications, including soil, woodchip, compost, sand, rubble, C & D waste, Household waste, skip waste.

                The new TSL 220 Skid Steer Loader has many optional attachments but most popular is the forestry mulch attachment.

                Key features include a hydraulic reversing fan for optimum cooling and reduced engine HP draw, tipping load of 8,600 lbs, pilot-operated joystick controls, adjustable loader speed and sensitivity. The advanced undercarriage includes multi-level suspension for exception traction and operator comfort. The two speed hydrostatic drive system offers fast travel and high torque work speed.
