The FECON BA Wood Hog is one of the most powerful, high-production horizontal grinders in the industry. It efficiently reduces wood waste, stumps, construction and demolition material and yard waste.

The FECON BA Wood Hog has a 40-inch by 62-inch feed opening. It can process hefty material, such as stumps or large volumes of brush, leaves and grass and reduce them to a controlled size through a wide range of particle sizing screens.

The horizontal grinding technology developed by FECON reduces fuel consumption, labor and service costs.

The FECON BA Wood Hog is equipped with a 600 hp or 800 hp Cat engine and a 62-inch hammermill. Power is transferred to the hammermill through a hydralically engaged tensioner, fluid clutch, and Kevlar-reinforced powerband V-belts, eliminating a friction clutch.

Each of the 24 fixed-position hammer assemblies or optional 48 swing hammers incorporate an easily-changed, reversible cutting tool. One person can change a complete set of cutting tools in 45 minutes.

Reduced material is discharged onto an hydraulically-operated 55-inch wide primary rubber belt discharge conveyor that can be easily elevated to 18 feet and folds for transport.
